Elisa is a PhD Candidate in the Philosophy department at Georgetown University. Her primary academic interests are in bioethics, research ethics, social epistemology, and the epistemology of testimony. Her dissertation is under the supervision of John Greco, and is focused on testimony in the clinical context and medical gaslighting.

Elisa holds a B.S. in biology, with minors in chemistry and philosophy, from the University of Portland and an M.A. in philosophy from Georgetown University. In the Spring of 2020, she was a Georgetown University Medical Humanities Research Fellow, and researched the history of anti-Asian racism and its prevalence during the COVID pandemic. In the Fall of 2021, she collaborated with the Bombshelltoe Arts Collective, working as an illustrator to tell the stories of women working in nuclear security and the impact that COVID had on their personal and professional lives.
