Geoffrey Alintoff
Hello, my name is Geoffrey Alintoff and I am from Marlboro, New Jersey. I graduated from Marlboro High School, where I was on the Executive Board of our Model Congress Club and participated in my school’s music program. I played the quad toms for the marching band and played guitar and string bass in the jazz band, concert band, and pit orchestra. In my free time, I love playing guitar (especially classic rock), video games, and spending time with my friends. I am an Eagle Scout and a certified EMT. I’m excited to be studying public health on a pre-med track at the University of Alabama for the next four years! My current interest lies in interventional radiology and I hope to serve communities where quality healthcare may not be accessible to everyone. Something that has always been an integral part of my life is community service. As an EMT who serves on my town’s first aid squad and as an ambassador and fundraiser for a pediatric cancer charity called the Tyler Robinson Foundation, I have witnessed healthcare disparities firsthand – my goal is to combine my passion for medicine with my desire to treat underserved populations. I cannot wait to begin my journey at UA – Roll Tide!
Kyle Boden
I am a 22-year-old transfer student from California, majoring in Biochemistry. I found my passion for medicine first in wilderness medicine via the Boy Scouts, later becoming an Eagle Scout and a certified Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT). I have experience in backcountry and urban medical environments. My hobbies include backpacking, rock-climbing and swimming/water polo. My family’s roots are deep in Alabama and with the University so I am elated that I will begin my own Bama experience this fall.
Austin Dehart
Hey, my name is Austin DeHart, and I’m from Trussville, Alabama. I’m super excited to start college at the University of Alabama. Baseball is my favorite sport and the Dodgers are my favorite team. I’m praying they can finally win a World Series this year because if it doesn’t happen this year there’s no hope. I plan on majoring in chemistry and minoring in psychology. My dream is to become a psychiatrist and help battle mental illness.
Emily Eichstaedt
My name is Emily Eichstaedt from Huntsville, AL and I currently attend Randolph School. In high school, I was on the Varsity Swim Team, Varsity Basketball team, Varsity Soccer Team as well as serving on my school’s Honor Council. At UA, I am planning on majoring in Biology with a Spanish Minor. I have always wanted to be a physician and my goal is to become a Pediatric Oncologist. I am very excited to start at UA in the fall!
Jon Ross Folmar
Hi! My name is Jon Ross Folmar, and I’m from Andalusia, Alabama. I graduated from Brantley High School, as valedictorian of my senior class. During high school, I was super involved with HOSA, SGA, and Key Club. The majority of extracurricular time in high school was spent in HOSA. I was blessed to have the opportunity to serve as the Alabama HOSA State President for my senior year, where I got to travel across the state and speak to different schools about HOSA and pursuing a career in healthcare. I always have felt drawn towards healthcare, more specifically mental health, so I plan to major in psychology with a minor in sociology on a pre-med track. I can’t wait to be a part of the McCollough’s Program and a student at The University of Alabama!
Mary Kate Grossmann
Hi! My name is Mary Kate Grossmann and I’m from Columbia, Missouri. I graduated from Rock Bridge High School with highest honors as a National Merit Finalist and AP Scholar with Distinction. In high school, I served as student body secretary and was president of a club called Giving Girls Opportunities, which raises money to send girls in developing countries to school. I was also a member of my school’s dance team, National Honor Society, choirs, and Tri Theta, an all-girl service organization. My hobbies include traveling, drinking Diet Coke, and studying vocal performance. I plan to major in Psychology and participate in the STEM Path to MBA Program before attending medical school.
Clayton Hall
My name is Clayton Hall, I grew up in Geneva, Alabama, and attended Geneva High School. I was a captain of our Varsity Football team which made it to the playoffs for the first time since 2012. I was also heavily involved in my school’s FFA chapter where I was an officer and member of the ag mechanics team, which placed 4th and 3rd at state, for three years. The summer after my sophomore year I started Dual Enrolled at Enterprise State Community College where I became a member of Phi Theta Kappa, which is an honors society for the top fifteen percent of students. By the time I start at Alabama, I will have earned 27 credit hours through dual enrollment. I enjoy studying subjects relating to the life sciences, English, and history. At Alabama, I plan to major in Biology and minor in English. Being the first member of my family to attend college, I see the McCollough program as a way to ensure I get the most of this opportunity my parents never had by more fully preparing myself for a career in the medical field, in a way typical courses never would. The McCollough programs unique way of teaching students about the field of medicine is why I am excited and honored to be a part of it in the fall.
Belle Hester
Hi! I’m Belle Hester, and I’m currently living in Milton, Florida. I’ve lived in a lot of other places, like Virginia, Mississippi, and Japan thanks to being in a military family, and I was born in Georgia. I’m planning to go into neuroscience, but my biggest interest outside of that is self-studying Japanese, which I plan to minor in. I love learning about the brain, playing video games, and listening to 80s music. My plans for the future are to spend time in Japan and potentially work there in the medical field.
Bailey Jarrett
Hey y’all! My name is Bailey, and I am from Frisco, TX. Throughout high school, I have participated in theatre, gotten the chance to work as a CNA, and am currently studying to become a CET. Ever since I was a little girl with a baby doll and a doctor’s bag, I knew that I wanted to become a pediatric doctor in some capacity. I’m looking forward to attending UA in the fall, with a major in biology, and starting my path in the McCollough Program. Roll Tide!
Mia Liacopoulos
Hi, my name is Mia Liacopoulos, I graduated from Brookfield Central and I’m from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I have always had a love for science and a passion for helping others so the medical field seemed to be the perfect fit for me. I am planning on majoring in criminology but planning on applying to medical school once I graduate, hopefully having a career as an OBGYN in the end. I enjoy photography, dancing, being with friends, doing community service, and listening to music. I also enjoy being in nature and reading and am so excited to be able to be outside year-round in Alabama. So excited to see what the McCollough Pre-Med Scholars program and the University of Alabama bring me in the near future, Roll Tide!
Alex Meyer
Hello! My name is Alex Meyer, and I am from Madison, Alabama where I attended Bob Jones High School. I discovered my passion for medicine in middle school and have aspired to be a medical professional ever since. I have always admired the positive impact doctors and other medical professionals make on the world around them and I know that I want to do the same! In high school, I enjoyed my science classes and academic excellence was always extremely important to me. When I heard about the McCollough Institute for Pre-Medical Scholars, I knew it would be a wonderful program that would help me on the way to a career in medicine. I am so excited to attend the University of Alabama as a Biology Major on a Pre-Med track! Aside from my academics and clubs, in high school, a lot of my time was devoted to color guard and playing the trombone in the jazz band and wind ensemble. I am excited to continue my color guard career as a member of the Million Dollar Band Color Guard! In my free time, I enjoy taking care of my plants, bullet journaling, and spending time with my friends and family!
Emmily Mobley
I am a recent graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. During high school, I helped found a United Nations Association Chapter, created new partnerships with Duke’s Medical School, and grew a community garden. My favorite parts of high school were participating in Public Health projects and leading research projects. I have found a way to combine my interests by participating in both the Randall Research Scholar and McCollough Scholar programs at the University of Alabama. I can’t wait to major in Public Health and get involved with community organizations in Tuscaloosa. After graduating, I plan on attending medical school to become a neonatal surgeon.
Jude Raia
My name is Jude Raia and I’m from Birmingham, Alabama. I graduated from the McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a member of the National Honor Society. There, I was on the rowing team and was the lead researcher on the development of glial cells in vitro in medusa stage Aurelia aurita. I started a community garden and donated the harvests to the local food bank and I was a Resident Advisor in my dorm of 45 students. I was President of the Medical Club for two years and volunteered at the Erlanger Health Systems Sports Medicine Center. I enjoyed my time at Erlanger and wish to further my development in the medical field. I aspire to attend medical school after graduation and become a surgeon. I am majoring in Microbiology and minoring in German.
Jesse Singh
My name is Jesse Singh and I am from Mooresville, North Carolina where I have attended Pine Lake Preparatory since the 4th grade. I am an Eagle Scout who loves to engage with others, listen to music, and play some video games. I love spending time with all my pets especially with my Dutch Shepherd, Laika, and my goat, Minkah. I intend to major in microbiology and get into medical school. I’m looking forward to a great time at Alabama and I am grateful for my acceptance.

My name is Greyson Taylor, and I’m from Hartselle, Alabama. I plan on majoring in biology so that I can go to med school and become a pediatrician. I’m excited for my experience at UA, and I can’t wait for the fall.
Devesh Tupkar
Hi, my name is Devesh Tupkar and I graduated from Houston High School in Germantown, TN. In high school, I was involved in Beta Club, National Honors Society, Technology Student Association, HOSA, and band. I was also on the swim team and I wish to continue swimming in college. I plan to major in biology, and I am excited to start my journey at the University of Alabama.
Caleb Vandenberg
Hi, my name is Caleb Vandenberg and I’m from Wausau, Wisconsin. In high school, I ran cross country and pole vaulted in track. I graduated as valedictorian and was named a National Merit Finalist. In my free time, I love to play guitar, sing, work out, and hang with friends. I plan to major in Biology and Spanish. I look forward to going to medical school and ultimately, becoming a surgeon. I would love to be able to one day use my medical skills to serve globally in Spanish speaking countries. I am very interested in studying abroad and getting involved at the University of Alabama. Reagan Woodward
Hello! My name is Reagan Woodward, and I’m from right here in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School. I love to draw and paint, as it gives me an outlet to express myself creatively. I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field, but I truly fell in love with the art of medicine during my sophomore year of high school when I joined my school’s HOSA program. Over the years, I have developed a fascination with the human brain as well as an immense love for children through my work as an after-school leader. I plan on majoring in biology and minoring in neuroscience in hopes of pursuing a career in pediatric neurology. I’m so excited to begin the first step to achieving that goal through what the McCollough Institute has to offer!
